METRO TO RUN 194 SERVICES o­n BLUE LINE AND 148 SERVICES o­n GREEN LINE o­n INDEPENDENCE DAY (15.08.2026)

Kolkata, 13.08.2026:

Metro Railway will operate modified services o­n the Blue and Green Lines o­n the occasion of Independence Day, i.e. 15.08.2026 (Saturday), a holiday.

BLUE LINE

Metro Railway will run 194 services (97 UP + 97 DN) o­n the Blue Line o­n Independence Day.

There will be no change in the timings of the first and last Metro services.

GREEN LINE

Metro Railway will run 148 services (74 UP + 74 DN) o­n the Green Line o­n Independence Day.

There will be no change in the timings of the first and last Metro services.

YELLOW LINE

Metro Railway will run normal 92 services (46 UP + 46 DN) o­n the Yellow Line o­n Independence Day.

Four direct services from Jai Hind Bimanbandar to Sahid Khudiram will be available instead of five direct services o­n that day.

There will be no change in the timings of the first and last Metro services.

Normal Metro services will be available o­n the Purple Line.

No Metro services will be available o­n the Orange Line o­n 15.08.2026 (Saturday).
