BASEMENT TO SURFACE ESCALATOR TO BE REPLACED AT MAHANAYAK UTTAM KUMAR STATION
Kolkata, Date -25/06/2026:
The escalator (NJ 5857) connecting the basement and the surface gate of the subway at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station of Blue Line, is going to be replaced from 27.06.2026. As a result, this escalator service for commuters will be stopped from that day to till a new escalator is commissioned.
Approximately six weeks will be required to complete this replacement work.
However, the stairs alongside the said escalator will remain open for commuters' use.
