FAKE JOB ADVERTISEMENT AIMED TO LURE GULLIBLE YOUTH IN SEARCH OF METRO JOBS

Metro Railway, Kolkata is o­ne of the Zonal Railways under the Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India and headquartered at Kolkata and provides essential citizen centric public services to the commuters of Kolkata and adjoining areas. 

It has been brought to the notice of the Metro administration that a Notice titled “Kolkata Metro-Mega Recruitment 2026” is circulating o­n the internet and social media since 27.04.2026 specimen copy of which is attached herewith.

The Metro Railway administration wishes to clarify that this notice and any such similar kind are   fake and deceptive aimed to lure gullible youth in search of government jobs. 

Citizens are advised to exercise extreme caution while clicking any such “link” which will o­nly defraud your hard-earned money from your banks and never share any OTP/Password if so sought by anyone. They are also requested to report to police authorities immediately in this matter. 

Metro Railway dissociates itself from any such notices promising jobs under the Government and citizens are advised to exercise due diligence and check with Official/Government website in this regard.
