PLATFORM SCREEN DOOR MODEL ROOM INAUGURATED AT CENTRAL PARK DEPOT

As part of continued system improvement, a Platform Screen Door (PSD) Model Room has been commissioned at Central Park Depot Campus of Metro Railway in the gracious presence of Shri S. S. Mishra Hon'ble General Manager, Metro Railway, Kolkata today, i.e. o­n 05.02.26. Principal Heads of all departments of Metro Railway were also present in this programme.

Purpose of this Model PSD Room is aimed to upscale the knowledge by imparting hands o­n training of the system through exhibits and physical simulations practices to the front line and maintenance staff of Green Line.

This hands-on training will help to improve the preventive and o­n-demand maintenance practices. This will also improve response time there by will enhance the reliability of the PSD system. This ultimately shall benefit the passengers for safety and improve the travel experiences.
