FIRE SAFETY SEMINAR ORGANISED AT ESPLANADE METRO STATION OF GREEN LINE

Metro Railway takes all possible measures and care for ensuring commuters safety. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff of different departments to tackle any fire emergency inside the tunnels or o­n the viaduct, regular training is conducted in Metro Railway, Kolkata.

A Fire Safety Seminar for the field staff was conducted under the supervision of Shri Satyaki Nath, Principal Chief Operations Manager and other senior officers o­n 17.12.2025 at Esplanade Metro station of Green Line. In this seminar, Metro staff got hands-on training o­n how to douse the flame through simulation of various fire and smoke conditions.

Staff of all Metro Corridors attended it. The seminar was conducted with the purpose of equipping the field staff to deal with fire in case of any emergency. Beside demonstration of working of various fire equipment, the station staff who will be the first responders were given hands o­n training. This exercise is expected to improve the skill, confidence and preparedness of the staff to deal with such cases.
