The following Good Works done by RPF personnel during the month of August’2021.

Detection of huge Gold Ornaments:-On 06.08.2021 on duty RPF staff namely A.N.Sharma, Head Constable and Shipra Mahajan, Lady Constable both of RPF/Post/Kalighat detectedgold ornaments weight approx 352.210 grams and value Rs.16,50,000/- through luggage Scanner Machine while checking of bag of one passenger namely Amrit Lal Karmakar. The detained person with recovered gold ornaments were handed over to Bhawanipur P.S. where a GD vide No. 455 at 18.50 hrs was made.

Recovery of left behind Mobile Phone:-On 07.08.2021 Const/Nilay Majumder of RPF Post/Kalighat while on duty at Rabindra Sadan Metro Station found one Samsung Galaxy mobile phone valued approx Rs.7000/-, the owner namely Manas Dutta attended SM office where the recovered mobile was handed over to him after proper verification and observing all formalities in writing.

Recovery of left behind Ladies Purse:-On 10.08.2021 Const/Nazimul Sarkar of RPF Post/Central found one red colour ladies purse at platform of Esplanade Metro Station and brought the same to SM/Esplanade. On being checked found containing Liquid cash ₹4550/- and an invalid Metro Smart Card. One female passenger namely Nisha (F) came to the office of SM/Esplanade. After proper verification/ acknowledgement, the same was handed over to her in writing.

Recovery of Money Purse:-On 12.08.2021 one passenger informed to on duty LCT/Bithi Roy at Netaji Bhawan about one left behind purse. The said purse containing valuable documents like 01 ATM card, 01 Voter Card, 01 PAN Card and 01 Metro Smart card and cash Rs. 200/-, Total value Rs.550/-. One passenger namely Somnath Math came to SM office/KNBN the recovered purse was handed over to him after proper verification. In this regard, he expressed thanks to on duty RPF staff.

Recovery of left behind Mobile Phone:-On 14.08.2021 one lady passenger namely Banashree Mallick after de-boarding from DN Train at Netaji Metro Station informed to on duty LC/ Aarti Ghosh that she forgot her mobile inside the said train. Instantly the staff concerned conveyed message to Kavi Nazrul Metro Station where the said Mobile was recovered (valued approx Rs.15,999/-). The owner arrived at SS office/KKNZ where the recovered mobile phone was handed over to her after proper verification.

Recovery of left behind Mobile Phone:-On 14.08.2021 one passenger namely Lakhan Kumar Mahapatra entered into Kavi Subhas Metro Station and informed that he has forgot his mobile at passenger seat. On duty RPF staff Const/S. Bhowmick found it and deposited the same to SS office/Kavi Subhas. The owner arrived at SS office/KKVS where the recovered mobile was handed over to him after proper verification.The owner of recovered mobile phone thanked RPF personnel and also stated that the value of the mobile is Rs.14,000/- .

Detection of gold ornaments:- On 14.08.2021 Constable/ Prakash Chandra Ghosh detained two person namely Bhupen Chandra Ghosh (M-32 yrs) and Sirshendu Dawn(M-23 yrs) at Mahatma Gandhi Road Metro station in course of Security Checking through luggage scanner machine on suspicious and both the detained persons were brought in the office of SS/MHR. On checking found gold ornaments value Rs. 34,25,000/- approx. they failed to produce any legal documents hence both the detained persons were handed over to Local P.S Jorasanko where a GD vide no.1034 dated 14.08.2021 was made.

Recovery of left behind Lady purse:-On 18.08.2021 one unclaimed ladies purse was found by on duty RPF staff LC/Sima Mondal was layingat Mahatma Gandhi Road Metro station. One lady namely Debarati Biswas came to SM office/MHR the recovered purse containing one Smart card & liquid cash Rs.1000/- was handed over to her after proper verification.

Recovery of left behind Money Purse:-On 21.08.2021 one purse was recovered by on duty RPF Ct/C. Kirtanya at Kalighat Metro Station. On checking the purse found to contain one Metro Smart card, Visiting card of a salon and cash ₹ 3538/- and the same was deposited to SM office/Kalighat. On 31.08.2021 the owner of the bag Ms. Swastika Sanyal attended at KHG SM office where the recovered purse was handed over to her after proper verification and observing all legal formalities.

Recovery of Hand Bag:-On 22.08.2021 HC/8727 Amal Mitra informed over phone to on duty DO LSI/T.M.Naskar that one Pessenger Namely Supriyo Dutta, left behind his hand bag in scanner machine at Netaji Metro Station. After sometimes, he came back to on duty RPF staff and took his bag containing one Spectacle, Mobile Phone, Rs.1200/-, ATM card, Smart Card and official paper. Total recovered value Rs.3500/-. In this regard, He thanked on duty RPF staff.

Recovery of left Money Purse:- On 23.08.2021 LC/KM. Khushbu found one unclaimed purse at Masterda Surya Sen Station the purse was containing Rs.1000/- and SBI card. A passenger namely Miss Ajali Kamat (F-21 yrs) arrived at KMSN/Stn . After proper verification and observing all legal formalities, the purse was handed over to her. In this regard, she appreciated the instant response of RPF and expressed her deep gratitude towards whole department.

Recovery of Plastic Bag:-On 27.08.2021 on getting information from SCNL/M. Rly that one passenger left behind his plastic bag in UP Metro train (AC rake No.-09) and he de-boarded at Masterda Suriya Sen Metro Station. Accordingly on duty RPF staff Const/Najimul Sarkar of RPF Post/Central attended the above said train at Maidan Metro Station and recovered the bag and deposited the same to SM office/KMDI. On being checked the bag found containing one Pressure Machine with wire (value ₹1400/- approx). One passenger namely Sekhar Chakraborty, attended at SM office/MDI and claimed the bag as owner. After proper verification and observing all formalities, the said bag with item was handed over to him.

Assistance to Ailing Passenger:-On 29.08.2021 an old lady namely Smt. Aparna Brahmchari, aged about 86 yrs fell down from escalator at Baranagar Metro Station and got injury in her head.Immediately she was rescued by on duty ASI/Bimlesh Kumar along with staff with the presence of station staff and provided first-aid. Her relative namely Miss Suparna Brahamchari (daughter-in-law), was also present. Her daughter-in-law carried her for further treatment at nearest Zenith Hospital, Dunlop. In this regard, she thanked to on duty RPF.

Recovery of Mobile: On 31.08.2021 on duty RPF CT/Ambedkar Ram, recovered one left behind android mobile set at Sobhabazar Station. After sometimes, one person namely Sahied Hussain Mondal, claimed the owner of mobile. After proper verification and observing all formalities, the recovered mobile set valued Rs.11,000/- was handed over to him under proper acknowledgement. On getting back his mobile, he became pleased and thanked RPF for sincerity in duty.
