The following Good Works done by RPF personnel during the month of January 2022

Description

1. 

Recovery of Mobile Phone: On 31.12.2021 on duty staff of PF/Dumdum stn recovered one pittu bag from the coach after making necessary security checking and deposited the same to SM/DMI. On checking the bag, one mobile set (Brand- MI/5A), one power bank, one mobile charger and two bed sheet were found inside it. At about 9:05 hrs one person namely Shekhar Prasad Gupta, R/O - Chandi Das Durgapur, West Bengal-713204 (mob. 9933964382) came there and claimed his left behind bag. Accordingly, the recovered bag including all articles total valued Rs.8000/- (approx) were handed over to him after necessary verification. On getting back his bag, he expressed his pleasure and thanks to RPF for sincerity in duty.

2. 

Medical assistance: On 03.01.22 a lady passenger was feeling unwell and got down from the DN Metro train (Rake No. MR-415) at Kalighat (KHG) Metro station. On duty RPF staff attended the said lady passenger, the said passenger and she was brought to SS office through stretcher by RPF and MRP.After some times when she felt well, she disclosed her name & address as Soma Majumder, aged- 40 yrs. (approx) of Sodepur, Mobile no- 7980411812 also said she was travelling from Dumdum to Kalighat station.On being asked she disclosed her relative name & phone number, who was contacted over mobile phone of the lady passenger.

At about 12.08 hrs. relative of the said lady passenger came and took her.

Recovery of Purse: On 04.01.2022 on duty staff of Gitanjali recovered the purse, containing a Metro Smart Card and cash Rs-2480/- and after proper verificationthe purse was handed over to the owner in presence of SM.She gave a written acknowledgment and thanked RPF for this generous act. 

4. 

Recovery of Mobile Phone: On 08.01.2022 on duty Platform staff recovered a lady purse laying on the sitting chair of Netaji Bhavan Station. On duty SM was informed who opened the purse in presence of Duty Officer and found containing one ID card, Mobile Phone, bundle of Key, Pan Card and liquid cash 6662/- the total values of belongings Rs.15,000/-. The lady passenger namely Manjula Kaur attended and after proper verification on duty RPF Staff handed over the recovered purse in presence of Duty officer and SM/ Netaji Bhavan Station. She gave thanks to RPF Staff and appreciated for good work.

On 09/01/2022 on duty RPF staff DN PF at Kavi Subhash (KKVS) station found a unclaimed bag inside metro train no. Medha-10. After proper security checking found one table tennis bat, 02 table tennis ball, water bottle, 01 Football valued ₹2000/, same handed over to SM/KKVS.One passenger namely Abhishek Chakraborty arrived at SS/KKVS and claimed thebag. After proper verification and acknowledgement, the bag with accessories handed over to him. On getting back his bag, he became pleased and thanks to RPF for such good work.

Recovery of Mobile Phone: On 12.01.2022 on duty RPF staff at Dakshineswar (DSW) Metro station recovered one mobile phone Redmi Note 9 valued approx 12,500/- and later on handed over to the owner a lady passenger namely Ruma Ghosh Choudhuri After observing the necessary verification and documentation of the said Cell phone. she appreciated and showedgratitude towards RPF department.

Recovery of passenger belonging On 20.01.2022 at about 13:05 hrs, CT/P. Bhakta of RPF/Post/Belgachia, on duty staff at PF of Shyambazar station (KSHY) recovered one left behind Pittu Bag and deposited the same to SM/SHY. On checking, one HD Camera (Brand- Canon) with accessories of camera, one mobile charger and 02 Nos. of deodorant, total valued Rs.85700/- (approx) were found inside the bag. Further at about 13:45 hrs.one passenger namely Rupak Sarkar (Mob.9748706697) came to office of SM/SHY and informed about left behind his pittu bag containing valuable camera and other items. Accordingly, the recovered bag with all items handed over to him after necessary verification and observing formalities. On getting back his bag, he expressed his pleasure to RPF for sincerity in duty.

Recovery of Mobile Phone: On 21.01.2022 on duty staff at south side PF of Girish Park Station (KGPK), recovered one left behind lady Purse the following items were found inside the Purse in presence of SM

i) One Android Mobile of ASUS value- Rs. 10,000/-

ii)One Nokia mobile- value Rs.2000/-

iii) Cash Rs. 1039/- only

iv) One City gold Chain, one Metro Smart Card with some house key etc.

one passenger namely Anita Ghosh attended and claimed. Accordingly the recovered Purse with all items were handed over to her after necessary verification and observing formalities. On getting back his Purse, she expressed his pleasure to RPF for sincerity in duty. Value of recovered property is Rs. 13039/- approx.

9. 

Recovery of Left behind Laptop: On 25.01.2022 an information received from SCNL/Metro Rly that a bag has been left at UP PF of Mahanayak Uttam Kumar (KMUK) Station. On getting information on duty UP PF staff recovered the said bag and deposited it at SS/KMUK Office. A passenger namely Sushant Sarkar arrived at SS Room of KMUK station. After proper verification the bag containing one Lenovo Laptop and one File value approx Rs. 65000/- handed over to him in presence of SS/KMUK Station. He also appreciated the instant response of RPF department and expressed his heartfelt thanks and was very much grateful. 

10. 

Recovery of Wallet: On 26.01.2022 Lady Constable/Priyanka Kumari, on duty at platform of Shyambazar station recovered one ladies wallet and deposited the same to SM/ Shyambazar station. On checking, some valuable documents i.e. one passbook of SBI, one driving licence, one metro smart card, one voter card, one ATM of SBI and liquid cash Rs. 87/- are found inside the wallet. Further at about 17.40 hrs one lady passenger namely Mou Chakraborty (mob.no.9614604232) came to SM office and informed about leaving behind her wallet. Accordingly, the recovered wallet including all items were handed over to her after proper verification and observing formalities. On getting back her bag, she expressed her pleasure to RPF for sincerely in duty.

11. 

Recovery of left behind bag: On 28.01.2022 on duty staff of RPF/Post/Tollygungeat Sahid khudiram Station(KSKD) recovered a left behind baginside metro train and deposited to SS/KSKD stn. A passenger namely Kroshnandu Sarkar arrived at KSKD stn and claimed his left behind bag containing some clothes, a mobile charger and a wallet having ₹ 15000/-. After observing the all legal formalities, the bagwas handed over to him in presence of traffic staff & SM.He was very grateful for this commendable work and thanked RPF department. 

12. 

Recovery of ladies purse:On 29.01.22 on duty staff at Kalighat Metro Station recovered one ladies purse and deposited it to SM/office of Kalighat Metro Station. A lady passenger namely Sharmistha Hazra came to SM/office and claimed the purse. The purse contained 1. Cash Rs.500/, 2. Metro card, 3. Samsung mobile worth Rs. 8000/-. After proper verification the purse is handed over to the owner and the lady thanked RPF for help and cooperation.

Recovery of left behind luggage: On 05/02/22 on duty RPF staff at Kavi Shuvash Station (KKVS) recovered one unclaimed suitcase containing new clothes-04 set, and 01 mobile model no k9 yuva Karbonn and liquid cash-15000/-. Total value ₹29300/-. Later on one passenger Namely- Ustav Banerjee(M) arrived at KKVS/Stn. and claimed the suitcase after observing all legal formalities Suitcase was handed over to its owner in presence of SS/KKVS station. He thanked to RPF for commendable work. 

2. 

Recovery of Mobile Phone:-On 08.02.2022 on duty RPF Lady Constable/M. Gorai, at DakshineswarStation recovered one Brown Carry Bag containing one Mobile of I-Phone (Value of said I-Phone is approx Rs.80,000/-) with some new purchases cloths. Further at about 10.40 hrs one male passenger namely Santanu Mondal came to SM office. Accordingly, the recovered Bag including all items were handed over to him after proper verification and observing formalities. On getting back his bag, he expressed his pleasure to RPF for sincerely in duty.

Recovery of Lady Purse:- On date 15.02.22 On duty RPF staff at Jatin Das Park Station recovered one lady purse containing one smart mobile phone valued INR 18000/-, 02 no of silver ornaments and liquid cash INR 3500/- , 1 bundle of Key, and baby milk powder .The total value of belongings at around Rs 25000/- Later on the said purse handed over to its owner after proper verification & documentation. She gave thanks to RPF/Staffs.

Recovery of Mobile Phone:-On 15.02.22 on duty HC/R N Ram of RPF at Netaji metro station recovered one mobile phone Later on one passenger Namely Barnali Sinha Roy claim her left behind Mobile phone. After proper verification and acknowledgement the recovered Mobile phone valued ₹ 8000/- handed over to her. She expressed thanks to RPF.

5. 

Save the of Life of passenger On 20/02/2022 at about 17/25 hrs an old passenger namely- Narayan Chandra Saha mobile no 9163737932 of 8/2B S sarkar lane, Kolkata - 16 stood at Netaji (KNTJ) Station Dn platform Kavi Subhas (KKVS) end,he suddenly got down on Railway trackand was trying to go towards UP Platformthrough the track . On seeing this on duty LC/Soma Majumdar at UP PF and const/Monu at DN PF both stopped him & took him back at SS/KNTJ and informed at his home. On being enquiry it is learnt that he is mentally ill as disclosed by his son. After completing all legal formalities the person was handed over his son. He thanked the RPF staff for saving the life of his father.

6. 

Rescue of Minor Child:-On 25.02.2022, on duty RPF Kalighat rescued one minor boy aged about 12 years detached from his parents and boarded in Up train at Netaji station whereas his parents could not able to board. The said boy and was taken to Park Street metro station. Later on his parents arrived at Park Street metro station and received his son namely Chandramauli Ganguly under proper acknowledgement/ documentation.

Save the of Life of lady passenger On 27/02/2022 as per information of SCNL/M.Rlyregarding one female passengerwearing blue jeans and black T-shirt leavinghome with intention forcommit suicide in Metro Station Kalighatintimated by her husband. Accordingly on duty RPF staff of Kalighat station detained the said female passenger and brought her to SM office. On being asked she disclosed her name-& address as Smt. Sarupa Das, Age-32 yrs , W/o Indrasis Nandi, R/O of Dharmotala Bose pukur, Kasba P.S,Kolkata-39. At about 18:30hr her husband namely Indrashis Nandi and her mother attended at Kalighat Stn SM office and submitted a writtenprayer to SMfor receiving her wife. After completion all legal formalities the lady was handed over his husband and mother-in-low by SM in presence of on duty MRP staff, RPF officers and Staff. He thanked to RPF, MRP and station staff for saving the life of his wife.

Recovery of Mobile phone:-On 01.03.2022 on duty RPF staff at Baranagar Metro Station recovered one left behind mobile phone on getting information from Security control. The owner attended and the same was handed over after proper verification in presence of SM. The value of recovered mobile was RS- 16000/- On getting back her Mobile, she expressed her pleasure to RPF. 

2. 

Recovery of left behind bag On 01/03/22 on duty RPF staff at Netaji (KNTJ) station recovered one bag containing two sarees valued ₹10,000/- Later on one passenger claim the said left behind bag. After proper verification and acknowledgement the bag was handed over to him.He expressed thanks to RPF for dedication on duty.

Rescue of Lady passenger:- On 02/03/2022 at about 08/00 hrs on duty RPF staff of Gitanjali StationHC/G. Kundu noticed that a lady passenger arrived without mask, upset and wandering at the station aimlessely. On duty staff asked her where doesshe wanted to go, she did not reply ,started crying continuiesly and said that she want to die due to family reasons. Further on duty staff brought her in SM/office and ask about her identity where she disclosed her identity as namely Jyoti Priya (f-30 yrs), W/o Lalan Kishor, Add- Bidhan pally road, Axix Aster Kol- 84. On Duty DO, LSI/Ranu Sanwariya a/w ASI/ U. S Singh immediate attendedSM/ office. On further interrogation she stated that she came here to sucide because her husband have an affair with another lady. After counseling she gave her brother phone number - 6299347476. Her brother and husbandarrived at Station at about 8:40 hrs. SS/KGTN also inform to Bansdroni PS.LCV/Rinku Das, HG/Alam Mondal and HG/ Suvankar Roy Choudhary of Bansdroni PS arrivedat SM office at about 09/45 hrs. The said lady passenger was handover to Bansdroni PS staff at about 10.00 hrs by on duty SM in the presence of RPF officer and staff. 

4. 

Rescue of Passenger On 02.03.2022 one Metro commuter when boarding in up train at Kalighat Station, suddenly slipped and entered his leg in between coach and PF. Immediately on duty RPF Staff of Kalighat post rescued the said person with the help of Motor man. He seems not to got any injury also asked him to any problem he replied he is well andleft Kalighat Station for his destination. 

5. 

Recovery of passenger belonging On 05.03.2022on duty RPF staff at Kavi Subhash station recovered one bag containing 01 Oppo mobile & charger, 01 kitchen item, 02 dish TV remote and some fruits & eatable things total value approx 2000/- Later on one commuter namely - Debojyoti Biswascame at SM/KKVSand claimed the bag. After observing all legal formalities the bag was handed over to the owner in presence of station master and other traffic staff. He thanked RPF department.

Recovery of passenger belonging:- On 05.03.2022 on duty RPF staff at Chandni chowk (KCWC) Stn recoveredone bag containing

1. 01 no Nikon D750 camera. Valued Rs.110000/-

2. Nikon50 mm lense valued Rs.15000/-

3. Aadhar Card

Total Value Rs 125000/-

Later on the same was handed over to its owner after proper verification/documentation. The passenger expressed his gratitude towards RPF and SM/CWC.

7. 

On 08.03.2022 at about 18:36hrs a passenger informed to on duty RPF staff at Kavi Subhas(KKVS) station that his one cartoon containing a ceilig fan left behind inside a DN metro train. After that on duty RPF staff informed to on duty RPF Const/Gobindar Singh atKKVS yard whochecked and found the left behind package in the stabled coach at KKVS yard. After verification the cartoon was handed over to the owner Somnath Bag s/o- Rang lal Bag of Promad Nagar Rajpur Sonarpur(M) Chowhati, South 24 pargana ,700149,(W.B), Mob no-8017384540. He thanked to RPF for this good work.

8. 

Recovery of Mobile Phone:- On 10.03.2022 on duty staff of Shova Bazar Station recovered mobile valued Rs.10000/- approx and was handed over to its owner after observing formalities. On getting back his mobile, he gave thanks to RPF.

9. 

Recovery of left behind wallet:- On 11/03/2022 one black colour wallet was found unattended at south side PF of Rabindra Sadan (RSD) station. On duty RPF staff recovered it which was containing liquid cash Rs. 120/- and other valuable documents i.e. 02nos. HDFCATM card, 01noSBI ATM card, 01 metro smart card.one female passenger namely Puja Chatterjee came to SM office and demanded her left behind missing wallet.After proper verification the said wallet handed over to her in presence of SM/RSD and RPF.

Recovery of left behind bag:- On 13.03.2022 on duty staff of Netaji Station found an unclaimed bag. After verification found one Purse with accessories value approx ₹300/. One lady passenger namely Munmun Sarkar came at SM/KNTJ office and claimed her left behind purse. After proper verification and acknowledgement the bag was handed over to her. She thanked RPF for such good work.

11. 

Recovery of School Bag:- On 13.03.2022 on duty staff at Belgachia Station(KBEL) recovered one school bag and deposited the same to SM/KBEL. Later on one lady passenger namely Rakhi Kahar) came there and informed about leaving behind her school bag. Accordingly, the recovered bag total valued Rs. 600/- approx was handed over to her after observing formalities. On getting back her bag, she became pleased.

12. 

Recovery of left behind bag:- On 14.03.2022 on duty staff at Dumdum Metro(DMI) station recovered one hand bag from T/No. KD 135 UP at DMI stn and deposited the same to SM/DMI. On checking, some new electrical equipment are found inside the bag. Information given to its owner through mobile number 9831098858, available on the receipt. After sometimes, one person namely Dipak Paul, an employee of M/S VIBGYOR TOLLING, came to SM/DMI's office and informed that he deboarded from one UP train in course of journey from Gitanjali stn to Rabindra Sadan stn duly left behind his bag having some new costly electrical equipments, used for iron cutting and valued Rs.92934/-. Accordingly, all the recovered items were handed over to him after observing formalities. On getting back his left behind goods, he was very grateful and thankful towards RPF.

13. 

Recovery of left behind Purse:- On 15/03/2022 on duty RPF staff of Sahid Khudiram (KSKD) station detected anunclaimed purse. After security check found 07 no's of ATM Card, PAN Card, Rs 500 and aadhar card then it was deposited at SM/KSKD. A lady passenger namely Indrani Sen gupta came to KSKD Station and claimed her left behind purse. After proper verification and acknowledgement the unclaimed purse with accessories hand over to her. She thanked to on duty RPF.

14. 

Recovery of left behind Purse:- On 16/03/2022 on getting information from SCNL/Metro Railway the QRT RPF team recovered a purse left behind inside train no( 413)at Kavi Subhash Station and deposited at SM/KKVS. After security check found that Rs 4187, phone charger and restaurant card in the purse. A lady passenger namely K. Sonal came to KKVS station and claimed her left behind purse. After proper verification and acknowledgement the purse with accessories was hand over to her. She thanked RPF for such good work.

15. 

Recovery of left behind Purse:- On 17.03.2022 on duty RPF staff of Belgachia station(KBEL) recovered one ladies purse. After sometime, one school girl namely Afifa Ahmed came to SM office and informed about her left behind purse. After proper verification, the said purse has been handed over to her. After getting back her purse she expressed her gratitude to RPF.

16. 

Recovery of Mobile Phone:- On 19/03/2022 on duty staff of Dumdum(DMI) station recovered one Samsung smartphone from UP/PF of DMI Station and deposited it to SM/DMI. Later on a lady passenger namely Ishita Shahcame and claimed. Accordingly, the recovered smartphone, valued Rs.18000/- approx was handed over to her, after proper verification and observing legal formalities. On getting back her smartphone, she gave thanks to RPF.

17. 

Recovery of Mobile Phone:-On 21.03.2022 on duty staff of Dumdum(DMI) Platform, recovered one unclaimed smart phone from passenger’s sitting chair and deposited the same to Station Master/DMI. After sometime one passenger namely Sumit Tiwari came to Station Master office/DMI and informed about his lost smart phone. Accordingly, the recovered smart phone valued Rs. 12000/- approx was handed over to him after necessary verification and observing formalities. On getting back his mobile, he gave thanks to RPF.

18. 

Recovery of Money Bag:- On 22.03.2022, on duty RPF staff of Esplanade Metro Station(TM/SS). recovered the money bag containing

i) 01 no Smart Card No-011459862, ii) Liquid Cash ₹3018.Later on one female passenger namely Sreyashi Majhi came to SM Office and claimed the money bag. After proper verification the said money bag was handed over to her in presence of SM/ESP. On getting back her bag she became highly pleased for the good work done by RPF.

19. 

Recovery of left behind bag:- On 22.03.2022 on duty staff of Kavi Subhas(KKVS) Station recovered an unclaimed bag in coach no 3409 of train 409 DN.and deposited at SM/ KKVS. containing 8 nos. Saree value (4000×8) Rs.32000/- Later onone passenger namely Charanjit Pal came and claimed his bag. After proper verification, the bag was handed over to him. 

20. 

Recovery of Packet:- On 22/03/2022 on getting information from SCNL/M.Rly on duty staff of Kavi Subhas(KKVS) Station recovered left behind packet inside train no MR-305. and deposit atthe office of SM/KKVS .After security check found L&T MCB(Value Rs 33098/-). A passenger namely Mr V K Pandey came at the office of SM/KKVS station. After proper verification and acknowledgement the said packet handed over to him.He thanked to RPF for dedication on duty. 

21. 

Recovery of Ornaments:- On 22.03.2022 on duty staff of Mahatma Gandhi Road (MHR) station detained one person during luggage screening, as noticed something as suspicious inside his bag. Further, he was brought to the office of SM/MHR. During interrogation, he disclosed his name as Astaram Malik aged about 38 yrs, S/O Madan Mohan Malik of vill- Rajbulhat, Seaport, PS- Jangipara, DT- Hooghly, PIN- 712408 (M/no. 8961413732). On further checking the bag & found one necklace and one pair of ear ring, all made of gold and diamonds (weight of gold and diamonds approx 65 gms and 07 caret) and one necklace with one pair of necklace all made of gold (total weight approx 46 gms) are found in his bag (Total value Rs. 06 lacks). On further interrogation, he failed to produce any legal document in favour of carrying such gold ornaments and also disclosed that he is an employee of M/S Bapan Kumar Das at 18A Rama Chandra Chatterjee Lane, Kolkata-700007. His owner has directed him to handover such ornaments to Sawansukha Jewellers Pvt. Ltd at 09, Camac Street, Kol-17. Further Information has been given to local PS- Jorasanko. The person with ornaments handed over to SI/Tapan Kr Das of Local P.S/Jorasanko for taking legal action. So far no case has been registered by Local PS. 

22. 

Recovery of Ornaments:-On 22.03.2022 on duty staff of Mahatma Gandhi Road(MHR) station detained one personduring luggage screening as noticed something as suspicious inside his bag. Further, he was brought to the office of SM/MHR. On being checking & found one necklace "SITAHAR", made of gold weighing approx 110 gm, diamond weighing approx 31 carrot and 10 pieces of imitation stone .During interrogation, he disclosed his identity as Souvik Panja aged 21 yrs, S/O Prakash Panja of Vill- Bhadu, PS- Goghat, DT- Hooghly, PIN- 712602(M/no.9732731644). On further interrogation, he failed to produce any legal document for carrying such costly ornament and disclosed thathe is an employee of M/S Subrata Pal at 16 no Sarkar Lane, PS- Girishpark. His owner has directed to handover the necklace to M/S Jaipur Jewelry at 227, AJC Bose Road, Rabindrasadan. On being informed, SI/Tapan Kr Das of Local P.S/Jorasanko came to SM office. The person with ornaments handed over to him for taking legal action. Total value of the necklace is RS-13.5 lac (approx.) 

23. 

Recovery of Bag:- On 23-03-2022 on duty of Dakshineswar station(DSW) recovered one unclaimed black colour bag containing one Moto cell phone (sim less) mobile, Bike Key and other Valuable documents. Later on one passenger namely Subhajeet Nandi came and claimed the said bag. After proper verification and documentation, the said bag including all items, total valued approx Rs. 5000/- has been handed over to him . On getting back his bag, he became pleased and thanked RPF for sincerity in duty. 

24. 

Rescue of minor Child :- On 25.03.2022 on duty staff of Esplanade Station noticed one boy child was moving aimlessly. He was brought to RPF/POST/CEN and information was sent to Child Line Kolkata. On being asked he stated his identity as Jeet Das (M/12), S/O Hemanta Das, of Vill: Pairadanga, PO: Priti Nagar, PS: Ranaghat, Dist: Nadia (W.B). After examined by Doctor of Medical College & Hospital he declared fit. Sri. Jaypal Mandal, Team Member, Child Line CINI, Kolkata arrived at RPF/POST/CEN and the rescued Child was handed over to him under proper acknowledgement/documentation.

Recovery of Bag:- On 28.03.2022 on duty staff of Kavi Subhas ( KKVS) station recovered an unclaimedbag in Coach No. 4029 of Rake No. MR-405 and the same was deposited to SM/KKVS. On checking the bag found 05 nos Signia hearing aid valued Rs. 19,000/-. Later on one lady passenger namly Rupsikha Hazra came and claimed her left behind bag. After proper verification and acknowledgement the bag with accessories handed over to her She thanked RPF for such good work. 

26. 

Recovery of mobile phone:- On 28.3.2022 on duty staff of Rabindra Sadan Station recovered one mobile phone Later on one passenger namely Harsh Kaloyacame and claimed the same. After proper Verification mobile phone handed over to him in presence of on duty SM. The value of recovered mobile phone approx. Rs. 12000/-.

Recovery of left behind Bag:- On 29.03.22 on duty ASI/ Dharveer kumar along with QRT party of RPF/POST/Tollygunge recovered a left behind bag containing sports and academic certificate, five set old sports cloths and 01 water bottle in coach no. 3013 of MR-307. Later on one passenger namely Swarnave Ghosal came and claimed the said bag. After proper verification and acknowledgement the bag with accessories value approx ₹1000/- was handed over to him. He thanked RPF for such good work.
