FACILITIES
The Hospital is presently providing Indoor, Operation Theatre, Outdoor and Investigative services for patients attending for treatment. Emergency Services in the Hospital as well as the Transport System is being provided along with Health promotional and Family Welfare Services.

The indoor facility is fully functional with a consistent Bed Occupancy of about 80%. Several complicated cases have been successfully treated

vMinor OT= Used for Endoscopic Procedures & Minor Operations
vMajor OT= Equipped with all essentials Instruments & Anaesthesia machine
Few major Operations and several minor operations are being done by case to case Consultant Surgeon & ENT Consultant.

Run once a week by Honorary Visiting Specialists in the Fields of ENT, Orthopedic, Skin, Neurology and Radiology. Consultant (Specialists) in Medicine and Surgery also provide necessary advice to referred OPD cases. Dental Clinic is attended by full time Dental Surgeon.

Emergency Services :
1.Casualty Service-Round the clock at Tollygunge Hospital
2.Ambulance Service -Round the clock. 2 (Two) Ambulances are presently in operation – 1 (One) each at Metro Railway Hospital, Tollygunge and Noapara Car shed.
3.Station Calls - Any casualty to the Metro Railway passengers during commercial Hrs.from 7-00 hrs. to 23-00 hrs. are attended by Metro Railway's Doctors.
E. Health and Family Welfare Services :
üFamily welfare activities including motivation to adopt small family norm.
üImmunization Activities including Pulse Polio Programme.
üHealth Education and awareness drives including HIV/AIDS awareness.
üBacteriological Test of Drinking Water.
üHealth & Screening Camps.
üAnti-Malaria Activities –Spraying at regular intervals with proper larvicide and Anti-adult compounds.
F. Medical Examination :
Medical examination of candidates prior to appointment and Periodic Medical Examination of serving Railway employees – done on regular basis as per schedule in all categories (including train running and train passing staff.)
G. First Aid Training :
First Aid training for all station staff conducted on regular basis for Traffic and Electrical Department Personnel at training centre, Noapara.
H. Safety Measures :

Day to day upkeepment of the items is done by on duty operating department staff.
