1.DUM DUM

NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

is an international airport located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, serving the Kolkata metropolitan area. It is located approximately 17 km from the city center.

2.BELGACHIA

PARASHNATH TAMPLE

Calcutta Jain Temple is a Jain temple at Badridas Temple Street and a major tourist attraction in Kolkata, India. The temple was built by a Jain named Rai Badridas Bahadoor Mookim in 1867. Pratishtha was done by Sri Kalyan -surishwarji Maharaj.

3.MAHATMA GANDHI ROAD

i) THAKURBARI, (HOUSE OF TAGORE FAMILY)

Jorasanko Thakur Bari in Jorasanko, north of Kolkata, West Bengal, India, is the ancestral home of the Tagore family. It is currently located on the Rabindra Bharati University campus at 6/4 Dwarakanath Tagore Lane Jorasanko.

ii) MAHAJATISADAN

Mahajati Sadan is an auditorium located in Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This auditorium is regularly used for Bengali theatres. Seminars are also organized in the seminal hall of Mahajati Sadan.

i) WRITERS’ BUILDINGS (EARLIER SECRETARIAT OF GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL)

The Writers' Building, often shortened to just Writers', is the secretariat building of the State Government of West Bengal in India. It is located in West Bengal's capital city of Kolkata.

ii) KOLKATA MEDICAL COLLEGE

Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, more commonly referred to asCalcutta Medical Collegeis a medical school and hospital in the city of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established in 1835 asMedical College, Bengal.

iii) KOLKATA UNIVERSITY

The University of Calcutta is a public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India established on 24 January 1857. It was the first institution in Asia to be established as a multidisciplinary and secular Western-style university.

5.ESPLANADE

 

 

 

 

 

i) RAJBHAVAN

Raj Bhavan is the official residence of the Governor of West Bengal, located in the state' capital city Kolkata. Built in 1803, it was known as Government House in the pre-independence days.

ii) ASSEMBLY HOUSE

TheWest Bengal Legislative Assemblyis the unicameral legislature of the Indian State of West Bengal. It is housed in the B.B.D. Bagh area of Kolkata. Members of the Legislative assembly are directly elected by the people.

iii) EDEN GARDENS

Eden Gardens is a cricket ground in Kolkata, India. It has also been used for Association. It was established in 1864.With a seating capacity of 66,349,it is the largest cricket stadium in India and the second-largest cricket stadium in the world behind the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

iv) SHAHID MINAR

The Shahid Minar, formerly known as the Ochterlony Monument, is a monument in Kolkata that was erected in 1828 in memory of Major-general Sir David Ochterlony, commander of the British East India

6.PARK STREET

 

 

i) INDIAN MUSEUM

The Indian Museum is the largest and oldest museum in India and has rare collections of antiques, armour and ornaments, fossils, skeletons, mummies, and Mughal paintings. It was founded by the Asiatic Society of Bengal in Kolkata, India, in 1814.

ii) ASIATIC SOCIETY

The Asiatic Societywas founded by civil servant Sir William Jones on 15 January 1784 in a meeting presided over by Sir Robert Chambers, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Courtat the Fort William in Calcutta, then capital of the British Raj, to enhance and further the cause of Orientalresearch.

7.MAIDAN

 

 

 

i) BIRLA PLANETARIUM

The Birla Planetarium in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, is a single-storeyed circular structure designed in the typical Indian style, whose architecture is loosely styled on the Buddhist Stupa at Sanchi.

ii) AUROBINDO BHAVAN

Sri Aurobindo Bhavan, 8 Shakespeare Sarani, the place where Sri Aurobindo was born, was renovated and the sacred relics of Sri Aurobindo were enshrined here on 16th February, 1973. The memorial shrine has since become a place of pilgrimage.

iii) ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL CHURCH

St. Paul's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, noted for its Gothic architecture. It is the seat of the Diocese of Calcutta. The cornerstone was laid in 1839; the building was completed in 1847

8.RABINDRA SADAN

 

 

i) RABINDRA SADAN

Rabindra Sadan is a cultural centre and theatre in Kolkata, located near the Nandan cinema and cultural complex and the Academy of Fine Arts on AJC Bose Road in South Kolkata.

ii) VICTORIA MEMORIAL

TheVictoria Memorialis a large marble building in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, which was built between 1906 and 1921. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria(1819–1901), and is now a museum and tourist destination under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.

iii) NANDAN

Nandan is a government-sponsored film and cultural centre in Kolkata, India.The primary aim of the cultural hub is to encourage and facilitate cinematic awareness in society. It includes a few comparatively large screens housed in an impressively architectured building.

9.NETAJI BHAVAN

NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE’S HOUSE AND NETAJI RESEARCH BUREAU

Netaji Bhavan is a building maintained as a memorial and research center to the life of the Indian nationalist "Netaji" Subhas Chandra Bose in Kolkata

10.KALIGHAT

KALITEMPLE

Kalighat Kali Temple is a Hindu temple in West Bengal, India dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Kalighat was a Ghat sacred to Kali on the old course of the Hooghly river in the city of Calcutta.

11. RABINDRA SAROVAR

RABINDRA SAROVAR LAKE

Itis an artificial lake in south Kolkata.The name also refers to the area surrounding the lake. It is flanked by Southern Avenue to the North, Rashbehari Avenue (Russa Road) to the West, Dhakuriato the East and the Kolkata Suburban Railway tracks to the south.
