A NEW WORLD STANDARD SYNTHETIC BASKETBALL COURT INAUGURATED

Kolkata, Date: 13.02.2024

A new world standard synthetic basketball court was inaugurated for the basketball players of Metro Railway at Dum Dum Metro Railway Staff Quarter Complex today i.e. o­n 13.02.2024. Ms. Aparna Ghosh, Dy. Secy (Sports and General) has inaugurated this world standard basketball court in the august presence of Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway, Kolkata and other high officials of Metro Railway. Shri Reddy basketed a ball in this newly inaugurated court to mark the occasion.  

Encouraging all sports persons of Metro Railway, Shri Reddy expressed his hope that the basketball team of Metro Railway will be immensely benefitted with the inauguration of this court as it will provide ample opportunity to practise.

At the end, an exhibition match was played between Burrabazar Yubak Sangha and Metro Railway’s basketball team.  

Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway also conducted an inspection from Motorman’s cab o­n Park Street to Dum Dum stretch of North-South Metro this morning.
