CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF RAILWAY SAFETY INSPECTS

EAST-WEST METRO

 

Kolkata, Date: 04.01.2024

 

Shri Janak Kumar Garg, Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) reviewed the progress of all theon-going Metro projects at Metro Rail Bhavan today i.e. o­n 04.01.2024. In this meeting, Shri V.K. Srivastava, Principal Chief Engineer and AGM and other senior officers of Metro Railway, senior officials of Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL) and Rail Vikash Nigam Limited (RVNL) were also present there.With the help of Power Point Presentation, Metro officers explained him the progress of all the o­n-going Metro projects in the city.

 

After this meeting, Shri Garg undertook a train inspection from Sealdah to Salt Lake Stadium station today to check train operations o­n Green Line.He also inspected AFC-PC Gates, Ticketing System, Escalators, Lifts, Signage Boards, Fire Detection and Suppression System and other passenger amenities at Central Park Metro station. He also inspected Central Park Depot of Green Line.During the inspection, CRS inspected Central Park Depot, the Stabling Bay Line (SBL) and Operation Control Centre (OCC).

 

After the inspection, Shri Garg expressed his happiness seeing the overall operation of the East-West Metro Corridor.
