SPECIAL TICKET-CHECKING DRIVE GOING o­n AT DIFFERENT METRO STATIONS OF BLUE LINE

Kolkata, Date: 05.12.2023

Metro Railway has been constantly upgrading its amenities in order to provide better services to its commuters. At the same time in order to check token loss as per the instruction of Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Ticket Checking Drives have been taken up at different stations.

Special Ticket-Checking teams have been formed to stop token loss and penalise the perpetrators as per the rule. These teams are also penalising passengers found to be travelling with improper tickets. During these intense drives from 1st September, 2023 till 30th November, 2023, 643 nos. of nuisance cases were registered and Rs 1,60,750/- have been realised as penalties. 348 Short Journey cases have also been registered and Rs 88,790/- have been realised. 204 cases of without ticket have been registered and Rs. 55,690/- have been realised.

Metro Railway authorities request all to ride Metro with proper tickets and deposit tokens at the AFC-PC gates after completion of journey.
