AN UNCLAIMED BAG SEIZED FROM A METRO
AND HANDED OVER TO ITS OWNER
On 09.04.2021 at around 10.20 p.m. a passenger informed the Station Master of Dakshineswar Station that he left a bag in a train (M-8) which had already left the station for Carshed via Dum Dum. Soon after getting this news, Station Master of Dakshineswar informed the Station Master of Dum Dum about it. Station Master of Dum Dum also communicated this news to the Central Control. The Central Control informed the Panel Operator of Dum Dum Station about the loss of this bag and the Panel Operator collected the bag from the above train at 10.38 pm.
On 10.04.2021, the Panel Operator in presence of the on-duty RPF staff deposited the bag to the Station Master's office of Dum Dum.
On being informed, the owner of the bag approached the Station Master's Office of Dum Dum today at 07.45 a.m. and claimed its ownership.
After proper verification and observing all formalities the recovered bag along with the items like a Laptop , i-phone , Six debit cards, Mobile Charger , one Power Bank, Rs. 24054/- cash, Voter Card, Pan Card and Blue tooth headphone found in it were handed over to the owner of the bag . He expressed his gratitude to the officials of Metro Railway for helping him to get back his valuable items.
