TIGHTENED METRO SECURITY HELPS TO SEIZE Rs. 5 LAKHS FROM A PASSENGER
At around 16.50 hrs. on 05.04.2021, on-duty RPF detected a man aged around 58 years carrying Rs. 5 lakhs in his bag while checking his luggage in the scanner machine at Maidan Station. The RPF staff brought him to the Station Master’s Office of Maidan station. He could not give any satisfactory reason for carrying such a huge amount of money and its source during interrogation.
Around 5.15 p.m. Station Master informed Maidan Police station about this incident. Police personnel from Maidan Police station came to Maidan Metro station and he was handed over to them around 7.30 p.m.
