METRO RESUMES SERVICES on SUNDAYS
Metro Railway is going to resume its services on Sundays from 4th October, 2020.
In a high level meeting, chaired by Shri Manoj Joshi, General Manager, Metro Railway today(28.09.2020), it has been decided to run Metro services from Sundays, the 4th of Oct’ 2020. The first Metro service will start from both ends at 10.10 a.m. and the last service will start at 07.30 p.m.
Senior officers are studying the total passenger count and footfalls at various stations everyday and are trying to work out ways and means to enable more commuters to travel by the Metro by increasing the number of services during peak hours or by stretching the train timings.
Shri Joshi is closely monitoring the situation himself taking into the account the availability of crew and station staff and studying the position with senior officers of other departments to ensure that more people can travel by the Metro maintaining social distancing.
