CLEANLINESS DRIVE CONCLUDED IN METRO RAILWAY
Metro Railway has observed cleanliness drive from 10th August to 16th August, 2020 to mark the Independence Day. Throughout this week, a massive cleanliness drive was undertaken at all 24 Metro stations of North- South Metro as well as 6 stations of East- West Metro. Special emphasis was given to clean Metro tracks, platforms, adjoining areas of each station, toilets, water vending points, colonies as well as different offices. Officers and staff of Metro Railway took part in this drive on different days of the week to spread the message of cleanliness and make all aware of the importance of this drive.
The sole objective of this week-long drive was to make Metro premises more beautiful and clean. During this week, focus was on collection and removal of plastic wastes from Metro premises.
On the last day of this drive i.e. on 16.08.2020, saplings were planted at Belgachia Metro station.
