Metro staff working 24X7 to ensure uninterrupted Electric & Water Supply to Hospital & Railway Colonies
Metro staff at five electric sub-stations of 33KV each at Noapara, Shaymabazar, Jatin Das Park, Masterda Surya Sen & Central have been working round the clock in order to ensure the smooth supply of electricity at all Metro stations, Metro Bhavan, Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital and all colonies of Metro Railway in spite of total lockdown.
There are two water pumping stations at Central and Kalighat which get electric supply from these sub-stations. These pumping stations supply water to all Metro buildings.
Though there are no Metro services at present but lights are on at all Metro stations for maintenance and safety.
Central Control and Security Control at Metro Rail Bhavan have also been working round the clock to tackle any COVID-19 emergency.
In these five Sub-stations, electrical maintenance staff are also kept on high alert in order to resolve issues related to malfunctioning of electrical gadgets and supply.
Metro doctors have been visiting all these sub-stations and educating all on-duty staff about what precautions they should take while discharging their duties.
