MOCK DRILL o­n CORONAVIRUS INFECTION ORGANIZED

IN METRO RAILWAY

In order to check the preparedness of medical officers and paramedical staff, ambulance drivers, cleaners to deal with any Coronavirus infected patient o­n emergency basis, a mock drill has been conducted today o­n 17.03.2020 at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital. During this drill, doctors, paramedical staff, ambulance drivers and cleaners used Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) while transporting a patient from his home to the Isolation Ward of the Hospital and during his treatment.The aim was to demonstrate the detailed procedure to all concerned so that proper procedure can be maintained in case of Emergency. The same drill will be demonstrated repeatedly to all concerned o­n regular basis.

It is to be noted that Metro Railway has opened an Isolation Ward and Fever Clinic at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital.  Arrangements have also been made to quarantine suspected patients.  Control Numbers are  :

Shri Manoj Joshi, General Manager, Metro Railway today held an important meeting with senior officers at Metro Rail Bhavan and took stock of different steps being taken in Metro Railway to stop spreading of Coronavirus infection.  He has also instructed all concerned officials to work in unison   to break the chain of spreading of this infection.
