GENERAL MANAGER INSPECTS VICTORIA STATION OF PURPLE LINE

 

Kolkata, Date: 08.05.2024

 

Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway inspected under construction Victoria station of Purple Line today i.e. o­n 08.05.2024. During this inspection, Shri V. K. Srivastava, Principal Chief Engineer, Metro Railway, Shri Amit Roy, Principal Executive Director, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) as well as other senior officials of Metro Railway and RVNL accompanied him.

 

Shri Reddy started today’s inspection from the Casting Yard of RVNL at Sarkarpool. In this Yard, Shri Reddy inspected Quality Laboratory, Curing Tank, Concrete Trial Room etc. as well as offered puja to start the casting work of tunnel segment. RVNL officials explained him about the technical details of the tunnels that will be burrowed for this Corridor as well as their future plan of work.

 

At Victoria station, Shri Reddy was briefed about the methodology that is being opted to transplant trees from the Maidan area to pave the way for the construction of this station. General Manager inspected the entire station site here and was apprised about the work execution plan of this station. It is to be noted that the casting work of the D-Wall of this station will start from tonight.
