BOTTLE CRUSHER MACHINE INSTALLED AT PHOOLBAGAN METRO STATION

Kolkata, Date: 04.04.2024

Metro Railway has been constantly striving for making Metro premises neat and clean since its inception. In order to bolster intensive cleaning and sanitization drives at stations, trains etc. special focus is being given o­n plastic waste management. With the opening of new Metro Corridors and ever increasing footfall in the Metro premises, these drives aim at increasing passengers co-operation and level of awareness about the importance of cleanliness in our daily life.

As a part of this initiative, a bottle crusher machine has been dedicated to the service of the Amar Kolkata Metro users yesterday i.e. o­n 03.04.2024 at Phoolbagan Metro station.  Shri Kausik Mitra, Chief Public Relations Officer of Metro Railway has dedicated this machine in order to make the Metro premises free from plastic wastes in presence of Smt. Sarita Daga, National Chairperson, All India Terapanth Mahila Mandal. In this programme, Metro officers and staff vowed to make the Metro premises clean and sought co-operation from Metro users to accomplish this objective.
