METRO STAFF HELP AN AILING LADY COMMUTER
TRAVELLING WITH A SIX MONTH OLD CHILD
Kolkata, 11th July, 2019:
On09.07.2019 at around 18:22 hrs, a lady commuter suddenly started feeling unwell in a Dum Dum-bound Metro. She was about to de-board at Gitanjali station. Immediately after receiving the message from the Motorman, the Central Control alerted the Station Superintendent of Gitanjali station.
The Station Superintendent along with other staff immediately rushed to the UP platform with a wheelchair to help her. The lady, who had a six month old baby with her was assisted by the staff to de-board from the train and she was taken to the Station Master’s office in a wheelchair.
The station staff provided all assistance to stabilize her. After sometime, when she felt a little better, she was sent to Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital of Metro Railway accompanied by a lady Metro Rail Police staff, RPF staff and station staff. She became stable after being given preliminary treatment and thereafter she was released from the hospital.
