GENERAL MANAGER INSPECTS MAJERHAT  STATION OF PURPLE LINE AND BARUN SENGUPTA STATION OF ORANGE LINE

Kolkata, Date: 20.01.2024

Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway inspected Majerhat Metro station of Joka-Esplanade Corridor (Purple Line) and Barun Sengupta Metro station of Kavi Subhash-Jai Hind (Airport) Corridor (Orange Line) today i.e. o­n 20.01.2024. 

Shri Reddy started the inspection of Majerhat station this morning where Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) officials explained him the progress of work in recent time and their planning to complete all pending works within the stipulated deadline. Shri Reddy inspected the passenger interchanging points with Majerhat station of Eastern Railway, Business Development Unit, platform level, proposed site of AFC-PC gates, viaduct etc.

After the inspection, Shri Reddy held a high-level meeting with Shri Amit Ray, ED/RVNL, senior Metro and RVNL officials where he instructed concerned officials to complete the planned work as per schedule.

Apart from this, Shri Reddy inspected Barun Sengupta station of Kavi Subhash-Jai Hind (Airport) Corridor (Orange Line) where Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) officials explained him the progress of work. Shri Reddy inspected the passenger amenities, platform level, proposed site of AFC-PC gates, viaduct etc.

Reviewing the progress of Metro work from Hemanta Mukhopadhyay to Barun Sengupta station stretch, General Manager expressed his satisfaction and advised all to finish the work at the earliest.
