FREE HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMPS FOR METRO COMMUTERS AT ALL METRO STATIONS
Kolkata, 1st July, 2019:
On the occasion of Dr. B.C. Roy’s birthday observed as Doctor’s Day, Metro Railway in association with Rotary International District 3291 organized Free Health Check Up Camps at all the 24 Metro stations for its commuters today on 1st July, 2019. Shri Satyaki Nath, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Metro Railway formally inaugurated these camps from Park Street station by lighting a lamp this morning. Senior officers of Metro Railway and Rotary International officials were also present in this programme.
A large number of Metro commuters took this opportunity and got their health check-up done free of cost at all the Metro stations. Doctors of reputed city hospitals were present in these camps and Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), Eye and general health of commuters were checked in these camps. Check up reports were also immediately handed over to the commuters on the spot.
Awareness posters on Thalassemia drawn by school children for making commuters aware of this deadly disease and its prevention have also been displayed at Park Street Station.
