GENERAL MANAGER INSPECTS JOKA-TARATALA STRETCH OF PURPLE LINE

Kolkata, Date: 18.11.2023

Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway inspected  Joka to Taratala stretch of Joka-Esplanade Corridor (Purple Line) today i.e. o­n 18.11.2023.  Shri Reddy started the inspection from Joka Depot this morning where Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) officials explained him the different rake maintenance facilities of this depot and the future plan for its further development.  Shri Reddy inspected the rake maintenance activities and Road-Rail Vehicle at this depot.

From Joka depot he boarded a Metro and travelled up to Taratala and checked the progress of signalling work o­n this stretch.

Before the inspection, Shri Reddy held a high-level meeting with Shri Amit Ray, ED/RVNL, senior Metro and RVNL officials at Joka depot where he instructed concerned officials to complete all planned work as per schedule.

After the inspection Shri Reddy expressed his satisfaction seeing the progress of work.
