HUGE NUMBER OF CORRUPTION-FREE MANDAYS CREATED IN METRO RAILWAY

 

Kolkata, 09.11.2023

                   Metro Railway is the Lifeline of Kolkata. Since its inception, it has been carrying lakhs of passengers to their destinations in a hassle- free and smooth way regularly.Apart from being the ultimate traffic solution for lakhs of people, Metro Railway has also been playing a pivotal role in creating mandays since 2018.  At present, there are four new Metro Projects going o­n in and around Kolkata which, after completion, will change the traffic scenario of this city.  As the construction and other works of these projects have got momentum after 2014, huge number of mandays have been created in Metro Railway.

                   As per the records, since October, 2018, around 7, 51,123 mandays have been registered in Metro Railway which have enabled large number of people to earn decent living  without any corruption.

                   Kolkata Metro Railway Corporation Limited (KMRCL) has also played a vital role in creating mandays since October, 2018.  As per the records, 1, 31,879 mandays have been registered in KMRCL till date which have also benefitted huge number of people and their family members.

                   Thus, Metro Railway has been playing the role of the growth engine for the economy of West Bengal in particular and India in general.
