LOST LADIES BAG RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO A COMMUTER

Kolkata, Date: 04.11.2023

On 02.11.2023 at about 18:35 hrs at Chandni Chowk Metro station, an o­n-duty RPF staff during a routine check found a ladies bag at the platform. Finding no claimant of this bag and after proper security checking, he deposited it at the Station Master’s office.

Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the bag to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations. After opening the bag, an ATM card, an Aadhar card and other valuable items were found therein. 

After sometimes i.e. at 19:40 hrs, a lady commuter came to the Station Master's Office and claimed the ownership of the bag. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the bag was handed over to her.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authorities for helping her to recover the lost bag.

It is to be noted that Metro authorities always stay alert to help commuters facing any difficulty in the Metro premises. Metro staff also help commuters to get back their lost items or unite separated members with his/her family in any emergency.
