Kolkata, 29.10.2023

Metro Railway, Kolkata is the country’s oldest Metro. It is the lifeline of the ‘City of Joy’. From the oldest Blue Line to the soon to be inaugurated Orange Line, Kolkata Metro is the ultimate traffic solution for the people of Kolkata and also the adjoining districts. Besides providing hassle-free, smooth and fast commuting opportunities it also provides ample opportunities for the business entities for marketing their products through branding.

Metro Railway, Kolkata, one of the major zones of Indian Railways network, has witnessed an increase of 34.22% in its Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) earnings, with a total of Rs. 19.57 crores earned during the period from April, 2023 to September, 2023.

Metro Railway has launched various initiatives to increase its non-fare revenue earnings. Various agencies and corporate houses are approaching Metro Railway, Kolkata for displaying their advertisements at stations and trains.

With the expansion of corridors of Metro Railway, there has been a substantial increase in locations/sites which have become major sources of Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) earnings.

As Kolkata Metro remains a preferred mode of transportation, it has attracted many corporate behemoths to sign branding agreements with the Metro Authorities.

Metro Authorities are also in touch with these business houses which in turn is increasing its Non-Fare Revenue earnings and also increasing the aesthetics of the station areas.
