CONSTRUCTION WORK OF MAJERHAT STATION (PURPLE LINE) GOING on IN FULL SWING

The construction work of Majerhat Metro station of Joka- Esplanade Corridor (Purple Line) is going on in full swing. Concreting work of this station is almost complete. Scaffolding works of the station and platform roof are currently going on along with the covering of the roof which is near completion. The installation work of escalators from Concourse to Platform area is also going in full swing. The floors will be covered with granites and that work is nearing completion. The beautification work with murals, paintings, water fountain etc is going in full swing. The outer wall painting work is also going on full swing.
State of the art passenger amenities are going to be provided at Majerhat station. There will be 08 escalators, 08 lifts provided at this station. Apart from these, 08 staircases will also be available here.
There will be two spacious platforms of 180-metre length at Majerhat station along with 08 ticket counters, sitting benches, first-aid room. Apart from these, one toilet for ladies, one for gents and one for divyangjan will be available for the convenience of the passengers. Among other amenities, water coolers will be installed for the use of commuters. Public Address System, digital display boards, emergency lighting facility for the convenience of the passengers, tactile floor indicators for the blind will be some other added amenities here.
