PUJA RUSH IN METRO

Kolkata, Date: 14.10.2023

Metro Railway has again proved itself to be the most trusted mode of transport for Puja Shoppers. For the benefit of the commuters, Metro is running additional services o­n weekends in North-South Corridor before Puja. As expected, Dumdum, Esplanade, Shovabazar-Sutanuti, Rabindra Sadan stations are witnessing increasing footfalls run up to Puja. In spite of the India-Pakistan World Cup cricket match, these stations have recorded maximum footfalls today. Up to 5 pm, Dumdum has recorded around 40,000 footfalls, the highest among all stations of Blue Line. Around 4 lakhs commuters have availed Metro services till 5 pm today in North-South Corridor.

Just before the Puja, daily footfalls in Metro are also nearing 7 lakhs mark with the surging passenger counts of different stations.
