PUJA RUSH IN METRO

Metro Railway has again proved itself to be the most trusted mode of transport for Puja Shoppers. For the benefit of the commuters, Metro is running additional services on weekends in North-South Corridor before Puja. As expected, Dumdum, Esplanade, Shovabazar-Sutanuti, Rabindra Sadan stations are witnessing increasing footfalls run up to Puja. In spite of the India-Pakistan World Cup cricket match, these stations have recorded maximum footfalls today. Up to 5 pm, Dumdum has recorded around 40,000 footfalls, the highest among all stations of Blue Line. Around 4 lakhs commuters have availed Metro services till 5 pm today in North-South Corridor.
Just before the Puja, daily footfalls in Metro are also nearing 7 lakhs mark with the surging passenger counts of different stations.
