THREE FOREIGN NATIONALS APPREHENDED AT NOAPARA CARSHED

Metro RPF personnel have apprehended three foreign nationals from inside the Noapara Carshed on 03.10.2023. A case has already been registered against them under section 145, 146 and 147 of Railways Act 1987.
During the night patrolling near the Belgharia Gate of Noapara Carshed at around 23:10 hrs. on 03.10.2023 vigilant RPF personnel noticed that three foreign nationals were moving suspiciously inside the restricted area. When challenged they tried to flee that place but RPF officers and staff managed to overpower and nab them.
During the interrogation, they failed to give any satisfactory reply and produce any legal document. During the searching of the materials they were carrying, four cameras, one head torch, spray paints, a few bags full with different colours were found from them. As per Railway Act 1987 and amendment 2003, they were taken into custody later.
These three foreign nationals later confessed that they had entered Noapara Carshed area to make graffiti on Metro rakes. They have also disclosed that they do this kind of work for thrill and travel around the world to make graffiti on vital places. They have been produced before the ACJM Court, Sealdah with seized materials and other relevant documents in order to initiate appropriate action against them.
