CONSTRUCTION WORK OF RITWIK GHATAK STATION (ORANGE LINE) GOING on IN FULL SWING

The construction work of Ritwik Ghatak Metro station of Kavi Subhash- BimanBandar (Airport) Corridor (Orange Line) is going on in full swing. Concreting work of this station is almost complete. Scaffolding works of the station and platform roof are currently going on along with the covering of the roof. The installation work of escalators from Concourse to Platform area is also going in full swing. The floors will be covered with granites and that work is also nearing completion.
State-of-the-art passenger amenities are going to be provided at Ritwik Ghatak station. There will be 07 escalators, 04 lifts provided at this station. Apart from these, 07 staircases will also be available here.
There will be two spacious platforms of 180-metre length at Ritwik Ghatak station along with 03 ticket counters, Automatic Smart Card Recharge Machines (ASCRM) for self ticketing facility, 06 sitting benches, 01 first-aid room. Apart from these, one toilet for ladies, one for gents and one for divyangjan will be available for the convenience of the passengers. Among other amenities, 02 water coolers will be installed for the use of commuters. Public Address System, digital display boards, emergency lighting facility for the convenience of the passengers, tactile floor indicators for the blind will be some other added amenities here.
In order to increase Metro’s earnings, spaces for Property Development will be available at this station to exploit the possibilities of commercial activities. once commissioned, this station is expected to experience huge footfalls and will be buzzing with commercial activities.
