PRESS RELEASE

METRO STAFF HELP AN INDISPOSED LADY PASSENGER

Kolkata, Date: 31.07.2023

on 30.07.2023 at about 11:10 hrs., a lady commuter aged about 40 years suddenly fainted at Girish Park Metro Station after getting down from an UP Metro.  Seeing her condition, on-duty RPF personnel rushed to help her. Considering the seriousness of the situation, they brought her to the Station Master’s office of the station. She was immediately given first-aid and thereafter she gradually regained her sense.  Her husband was immediately contacted after getting the phone number from her.

Hearing this news, her husband came to the Station Master’s office after some time and identified the lady as his wife.

With the improvement of her condition, her husband wanted to take her home.  She was allowed to leave the station with her husband only after complying with all official formalities.

Both husband and wife expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Metro Railway authorities for the kind co-operation and timely help.
