METRO RPF VIGILANT TO ENSURE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF COMMUTERS

Metro Railway authorities take all possible measures for ensuring passengers comfort and safety. From providing security to commuters to rescuing children and uniting them with family members Metro RPF has been playing a pivotal role in ensuring round the clock surveillance at the Metro premises.
From 1st April, 2023 to 30th June, 2023., Metro RPF has recovered and returned valuable items i.e. mobile phones, laptops, purses, bags and cash worth of Rs 11,27,893 to the commuters.
Thanks to Vigilant and alert RPF personnel, 07 Children (04 Boys and 03 Girls) have been rescued and handed over to their parents or Police Stations during this period. 01 suicide attempts was also foiled by the on-duty RPF staff at Metro station.
Metro RPF has been very much strict against the nuisance maker in the Metro premises. RPF registered 542 cases for creating Nuisance, Spitting, Smoking and Littering etc. and realised a fine of Rs 1,35,500/- to keep the Metro premises clean and beautiful, in the first quarter of this fiscal.
RPF has received total 1354 calls o¬n Security Helpline (9007041789) and Women Security Helpline (9007041908) numbers and required assistance were provided to the passengers immediately after receiving the information.
During this period 43 cases under Railway Act have been registered and 45 persons have been prosecuted under Railway Act and Rs 13,950/- have been realised as fine.
