METROMAN SAYANTAN DAS WINS SILVER IN NEPAL

Shri Sayantan Das, a Metroman and also the 81st Grandmaster of India has made India proud once again by winning Silver Medal in the SACC Championship!
In the South Asian Chess Council (SACC) Championship-2023 (Open ), he scored 7.5 points out of 9 rounds and secured the 2nd position in this tourney. There were total 10 players from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bhutan and Bangladesh who took part in this tournament. South Asian Chess Council (SACC) Championship was held from 13th June to 19th June 2023 at Lalitpur, Nepal in which two Indian players participated.
After becoming 81st Grandmaster of India by virtue of winning Cannes Open, 2023 in February, Sayantan also won Chessemy Open, 2023 held in Germany in March.
Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway has congratulated Sayantan for this marvellous achievement and expressed his hope that in future tourneys also he will be able to come out with flying colours.
