MEGA PROMOTION CEREMONY OF METRO RAILWAY

Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager/Metro Railway has been emphasising on Human Resource Development in Metro Railway to enable the staff to actively contribute towards providing a most modern commuter-friendly transport system in Kolkata as an epitome of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. In order to boost up the moral of the employees, Shri Reddy, General Manager planned for a ‘Mega Promotion Ceremony’ today to provide career progression scope for the employees of Kolkata Metro Railway.
As many as 140 employees of Metro Railway, who are the frontline staff responsible to run the first Metro of the country, have got promotions as token of appreciation for their dedicated services in Metro Railway.
Metro Railway is the life line of Kolkata. Everyday lakhs of commuters use the Metro to reach their destinations in an around Kolkata conveniently and cheaply. Metro authorities, beside running smooth services for commuters also take care of staff and encourage them to execute their daily job with dedication and care.
Under the able guidance and leadership of General Manager, Metro Railway, Shri P.Uday Kumar Reddy, a Mega Promotion Ceremony was held today i.e. on 25.04.2023 at Noapara Carshed. In this Mega Promotion Ceremony, first of its kind in Metro Railway, a total of 140 Gr.-C staff were handed over their promotion orders. General Manager handed over these orders to them. Congratulating all of them for getting promotions, Shri Reddy expressed his hope that this ceremony would encourage all Metromen to work for the betterment of the organization as well as for the Metro commuters. This ceremony will be a milestone in the career of Metromen and pave the way to further improve Metro services, General Manager said.
Metro staff who were handed over their promotion orders by hon'ble General Manager today, were delighted and vowed to work with more dedication to ensure full satisfaction of the commuters.
In this ceremony, Shri K.K.Patro, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Metro Railway was felicitated.
Principal Head of Departments and senior officers were also present in this programme.
