NO TRIAL RUN OF EAST-WEST METRO on SUNDAY

It has been reported in a section of media (print, electronic and digital) that the first trial run on Howrah Maidan to Esplanade , beneath Hooghly river, stretch of East-West Metro is going to take place on 09.04.2023, Sunday. Shri Kausik Mitra, CPRO, Metro Railway has confirmed that no trial run is planned on Sunday on that stretch under the river Hooghly. There will only be movement of rakes.
However trial run willtake place shortly and people of Kolkata will be informed accordingly.
