A PASSENGER EVACUATION MOCK DRILL CONDUCTED o­n GREEN LINE IN PRESENCE OF SHRI P UDAY KUMAR REDDY, GM, METRO RAILWAY


Kolkata,Date:02.04.2023  

Metro Railway always gives top priority to the safety and security of the commuters. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff to tackle any emergency a passenger evacuation mock drill was conducted by Metromen inside the Metro tunnels in between Sealdah and Phoolbagan Metro stations o­n 02.04.2023 o­n Green Line in presence of Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway.

 
Metromen were trained and counselled by Metro officials  on how to take immediate necessary action and follow procedures to rescue passengers in case of such emergencies.
 
The objective of this mock drill was to upgrade the evacuation skills as well as check alertness and preparedness of Metromen during such emergencies.
 
Senior Metro officers and staff of different departments were present during this drill.

General Manager also inspected Sealdah Metro station and interacted with the station staff.
