CONSTRUCTION WORK COMPLETED NEAR THE BIMANBANDAR METRO STATION

Construction works of different Metro Projects in the city have been going on in full swing.
Construction work of twin tunnels underneath an existing Christian Burial Ground near Bimanbandar Metro station was a difficult task but with the co-operation of Christian Burial Board, it has been successfully completed.
Construction work of the underground Metro tunnels under the very busy VIP Road and Airport Entry Road has also successfully been completed. The approach tunnel adjacent to Automated Mail Processing Centre (Airport Post & Telegraph Office) has been successfully completed with the cooperation of India Post Department.
Restoration of pathway and fencing at Airport Gate No-1 to Departure Terminal flyover, Meteorological Building & Bimanbandar Yard for seamless movement of passengers has been completed.
In view of the G-20 summit, landscaping & beautification works of approximately 15,000 sqm (1.5 lakhs square feet) over the approach tunnel has been completed.
