METRO RAILWAY OBSERVES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

International Women’s Day was observed in Metro Railway today i.e. on 08.03.2023. The objective of this programme was to highlight the steps taken by Metro Railway for empowerment of women. An interactive session was organised today at Metro Rail Bhavan to mark the occasion.
In this session, the participants shared their thoughts about the empowerment of women and the challenges they face everyday.
Smt. Chandrima Roy, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Smt. Samhita Soren, Principal Chief Materials Manager, Smt Anjali Kesari, Dy. Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer/ C , Smt. Ruma Auddy, Assistant Personnel Officer/IC, Ms.Aparna Ghosh, Dy. Secretary (Sports & Genl.) and other lady officers, staff of all departments participated in the interactive session and shared their thoughts on Gender Equality.
A video was shown at this programme in which lady Metro officers and staff shared their daily experiences.
It is to be noted that the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is 'Embrace Equity'.
