LOST ITEM RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO COMMUTER

On 17.01.2023 at 14.55 hrs., a passenger left behind his bag in a DN train at the time of deboarding at Kalighat. He immediately sought help from Station Master’s Office. Station Master immediately inform the matter to Control Room. After receiving the message from Control Room, Security Control at Metro Rail Bhavan alerted Tollygunge post. That Metro at that time was approaching Kavi Nazrul station.
The on-duty RPF staff posted at Kavi Nazrul Metro station immediately swung into action and got into the train when it reached the station. After the hectic search, they found the bag in the coach and brought it to the Station Master's office of Kavi Nazrul after carefully examining it. Soon after the receipt of this item, Station Master made repeated announcements through the Public Address System of the station with a request to the owner to collect it from Station Master’s office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.
After sometimes, i.e. at about 16.20 hrs a person came to the Station Master's office and claimed the ownership of the bag. After complying with all official formalities, the bag was handed over to him. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude for kind co-operation of Metro Railway Authority.
