METRO STAFF HELP AILING PASSENGERS

On 01.12.2022 at about 21.51 hrs. a Metro staff saw a passenger aged around 70 years feeling unwell in a DN Metro which was approaching Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station. He immediately alerted Central Control at Metro Rail Bhavan. Central Control informed the shift-in-charge of Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station for his immediate help. Shift-in-charge alerted the on-duty RPF and station staff about the incident. They rushed to the platform and rescued him from that Metro. He was brought to the Station Master’s Office on a stretcher and administered first aid. He was later admitted to M.R. Bangur Hospital at 21.58 hrs. for further treatment under the escort of the station staff.
In another incident on 02.12.2022 at about 07.10 hrs., on-duty RPF and station staff found a lady passenger aged 64 years feeling unwell on the platform of Shyambazar Metro Station. They rushed to her help. Considering the seriousness of the situation, she was brought to the Station Master’s Office and given first aid. In the meantime, station staff contacted her family members over the mobile number given by her grand-daughter. After sometimes, her family members came to the station.
She was later admitted to R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital at 07.16 hrs, under the escort of station staff and family members.
