LOST PURSE RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO COMMUTER

On 20.11.2022, at about 13:40 hrs. a male passenger deboarded at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station from a DN Metro and found that he had left his purse in the train. He immediately sought help from an on-duty RPF staff posted on the platform of that station. The RPF post of Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station immediately alerted the on-duty staff of the next station i.e. Netaji as that Metro had already left Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station. After receiving the message, RPF staff immediately entered the same train when it reached Netaji station and started to look for the lost purse in the running train. He ultimately found it when that Metro reached Kavi Subhas station and submitted it to the Station Master’s Office of Kavi Subhas station.
After opening the purse, some valuable items were found therein. Thereafter, the Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the purse to collect it from the Station Master’s Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.
After some time, at about 14:15 hrs. a male passenger came to the Station Master’s Office and claimed the ownership of the purse. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the recovered purse along with all items was handed over to him.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping him to recover the lost purse and the items contained therein.
