ROJGAR MELA - THE HISTORIC RECRUITMENT DRIVE HELD AT
HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, KOLKATA

Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister launched Rojgar Mela, 'The Historic Recruitment Drive' for 75 thousand newly recruited appointees via video conferencing today. In this biggest ever recruitment drive ever, a total of 75 thousand youngsters were handed over appointment letters for government jobs at 50 different venues across the country.
In his inspiring speech, Hon'ble Prime Minister greeted the entire nation for Dhanteras and forthcoming Diwali festival. Hon'ble Prime Minister said that although the economic scenario across the globe is not very encouraging as many economic giants are struggling with the problems like high inflation and unemployment, India has been able to maintain its own pace of development to secure the place of world's 5th biggest economy surpassing UK.
As a part of Central Government's relentless endeavour to generate more and more employment in a mission mode, total 250 job aspirants have been handed over appointment offer in as many as 18 Departments of Central Government at Kolkata Heritage Institute of Technology in presence of Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Hon'ble Minister of State for Education, Government of India. Appointment offers were given by Hon'ble Minister of State directly to 28 candidates in different departments like Defence, Railways, Revenue, Labour, Coast Guard, CRPF, National Housing Bank, CISF, Defence Estate, BSF, Department of Post etc. Apart 207 new appointees were handed over appointment letters by High Officers of the concerned departments at the venue.
The new recruitees selected from across the country will join the Central Government at various levels viz. Group A, Group B Gazetted, Group B Non- Gazetted and Group C. This recruitments are being done in mission mode to increase the efficiency of Government Departments on multiple fronts by inspiring karmayogis.

J.Charukesi, Chief Postmaster, WB Circle/ Department of Posts, Shri Ashutosh Awasthi, Chief Commissioner of CGST & CE, Kolkata Zone/ Department of Revenue, Shri Bijoy Bihari Mohapatra, Principal Commissioner of Customs, Customs Airport, Kolkata, Department of Revenue and Shri S.Srinivas, GM, HR & A, Garden Reach Ship Builders and Engg. also graced the occasion.
