LOST ITEMS RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO COMMUTERS

Kolkata, Date:  08.10.2022

 On 07.10.2022 at about 17.25 hrs at Girish Park Metro Station, an o­n-duty RPF staff  during routine check found  an unclaimed bag o­n the south side platform of the station. He  deposited it to the Station Master's office.  Some valuable items were found in the bag.Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements through Public Address System with a request to the owner of the bag to collect it from his office. A control message was also communicated at all the stations.  

After sometimes i.e. at 18.10 hrs., a passenger aged 45 years came to the Station Master's office and claimed the ownership of the bag. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the bag was handed over to him. 

He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping him to get back his lost bag.                

In another incident o­n the same day at 15.30 hrs. at Esplanade Metro Station an o­n-duty lady RPF during the routine check of the platform found a mobile phone o­n the sitting chair.  Finding no claimant of this phone, she deposited it to the Station Master's office. Thereafter Station Master made repeated announcements through the Public Address System with a request to collect it from his office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations. 

At 16.15 hrs., a female passenger aged 24 years came to the station and claimed the ownership of the phone. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the phone was handed over to her. 

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping her to get back her lost phone.
