METRO RPF RESCUES AND UNITES

A 10-YEAR OLD WITH FAMILY

                                               

Kolkata Date: 07.10.2022

On 06.10.2022(Ekadashi), a couple deboarded from a Metro at Esplanade station at 13.45 hrs.  But unfortunately, their 10-year old daughter could not get down at this station.  Immediately, they informed this matter to the Station Superintendent.

On receipt of this information, a control message was  communicated to all the stations. After getting this alert, RPF personnel of all the stations became active and the girl was at last found by the o­n-duty RPF staff at Kavi Subhash station. She was rescued and brought to the Station Master’s Office.   The girl disclosed her identity and gave her parents' phone number.Her parents were contacted and they came to the Station Mater’s Office at 14.25 hrs and identified their daughter.

            After complying with all official formalities, the daughter was handed over to them and they thanked the Metro Railway Authority for their kind co-operation.

            In another incident o­n the same date at about 13.20 hrs., a lady passenger along with her husband and other family members were travelling from Chandni Chowk to Kalighat Metro station. Suddenly she felt unwell inside the running train and immediately got down at Netaji Bhavan station along with all her family members.

Seeing her condition, o­n-duty RPF and station staff rushed to her help. She was brought to the Station Master’s Office in a stretcher. She was administered first aid and finding no improvement of her condition, she was sent to the nearby  SSKM Hospital at about 14.20 hrs  for further treatment.

Before leaving the station, her family members expressed heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for timely help. RPF and other Metro staff always remain vigilant and work relentlessly to ensure safety and security of commuters.
