METRO RAILWAY TIGHTENS SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS

DURING DURGA PUJA

Kolkata, Date:28.09.2022

Metro Railway is going to run night-long services o­n North-South Corridor and services up to midnight o­n East-West Corridor o­n Saptami (02.10.2022), Ashtami (03.10.2022) ,Nabami (04.10.2022) and Dashami ( 05.10.2022) for the benefit of the commuters.  In order to provide better services and ensure passenger safety, Metro Railway is going to strengthen its security arrangements at different stations. Extra security personnel will be deployed at different Metro stations to help commuters. Twelve Crowd Management Teams and Thirteen Quick Response Teams (QRT) are going to be deployed at major stations to tackle any emergency situation.  Anti - Sabotage check will be conducted with the help of sniffer dog and security gadgets. 

Medical booths will be kept open at Mahatma Gandhi Road, Kalighat and Kavi Subhas stations to help the passengers. Wheelchairs, Stretchers and Oxygen cylinders will be available at all stations.  Adequate number of staff will be deployed at all Metro stations to provide proper guidance to the commuters.
