METRO STAFF RESCUE AN INDISPOSED PASSENGER IN LAST METRO AND SEND HIM HOME

Kolkata, Date: 26.09.2022

On 25.09.2022 at about 22.00 hrs at Master Surya Sen station, o­ne passenger aged about 46 years suddenly felt unwell o­n the UP platform.  Seeing his condition, o­n-duty lady RPF and other station staff rushed to him for immediate help.  He was brought to Station Master’s office and administered first aid.  In the meantime, his wife was contacted over the phone number given by him and informed of the incident.

After sometimes, he felt well and wanted to go home.  His wife, a doctor herself  came to the Station Master’s office and took him home.

Before leaving the station, both husband and wife expressed their heartfelt gratitude for kind help.

In another incident o­n the same date at about 14.13 hrs, a passenger along with his family members came to Kavi Subhas Metro station to avail a Metro.  But unfortunately, he and other family members could not board the train but his daughter aged about 10 years got into the train and got down at the next station Sahid Khudiram.

Finding her roaming aimlessly o­n the platform, the o­n-duty RPF and station staff brought her to the Station Master’s office. She disclosed her identity and gave the phone number of her father. Her father was contacted over the phone and apprised of the situation.  

At about 14.50 hrs, her father came to the Station Master’s office and identified the rescued child as his daughter. After complying with all official formalities, the rescued child was handed over to him and he expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the co-operation extended by the Metro Railway Authority.
