MAIDEN TRIAL RUN CONDUCTED o­n

 KAVI SUBHAS TO HEMANTA MUKHOPADHYAY STRETCH SUCCESSFULLY

Kolkata, Date: 24.09.2022

The maiden trial run o­n Kavi Subhas – Hemanta Mukhopadhyay stretch   of Kavi Subhas  – Airport via Salt Lake, New Town Metro project ( Orange line) has been conducted successfully today ,i.e. o­n 24.09.2022. The non-ac trial rake ( Rake number- 8N 16/18) started from the terminal  Kavi Subhas station and after covering 5.40 kms  reached Hemanta Mukhopadhyay station. The trial rake was taken out from the Kavi Subhas Depot, which has been built for rake stabling and maintenance work. During this trial run, the rake travelled with a maximum speed of 25 km/hr.

Shri Amit Ray , ED Rail Vikas Nigam Limited(RVNL), Shri Rajesh Prasad, Director of Operations/ RVNL, Shri Satyaki Nath , Principal Chief Operations Manager and other senior officials of Metro Railway were present during this trial run.

Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Metro Railway has congratulated all the officers and staff of Team Metro and Team RVNL for this successful completion of maiden trial run.
