METRO CONDUCTS CLEANLINESS DRIVES AT CARSHED, QUARTER COMPLEX AND STATIONS

Metro Railway has been observing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ from 16th to 30th September, 2022. During the Pakhwada, intensive cleaning and sanitization drives at stations, trains, colonies, hospital and other railway establishments are being carried out with special focus on plastic waste management.
A special cleanliness drive was conducted today i.e. on 22.09.2022 at Noapara Car Depot Complex. As a part of this programme, equipment room and adjacent areas were properly cleaned with sanitization by the staff of Signal and Telecom Department. Banners and posters have been put on display. A tree plantation programme was also conducted along with this cleanliness drive to make the staff and common people aware about the importance of cleanliness and green surroundings side by side.
Today, the Engineering Department of Metro Railway organized an extensive cleanliness drive with sanitization at Noapara Quarter Complex. Banners and posters were also displayed to make the residents of this complex aware about the importance of cleanliness.
Besides these, extensive cleanliness drives were also organized as part of ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ at different Metro Stations like Dum Dum, Shyambazar, Sovabazar-Sutanuti, Girish Park, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Park Street, Netaji Bhavan and Netaji Metro stations of North South Metro Corridor and all Metro Stations of East-West Corridor.
