LOST ITEMS RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO COMMUTER

On 11.09.2022 at about 11.45 hrs., an on-duty lady RPF staff at Baranagar Metro Station during a routine check found a mobile phone at the ticket counter of the station. Finding no claimant of this phone and after proper security checking, she deposited it at the Station Master’s office.
Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the phone to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.
After some time i.e. at 13.50 hrs., a commuter came to the Station Master's Office and claimed the ownership of the phone. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the phone was handed over to him
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping him to recover his lost phone.
In another incident on the same date at 14.23 hrs., Security Control/Metro Railway after getting a phone call on the Security Helpline alerted RPF post at Dum Dum Metro Station about a bag found in a Metro approaching Dum Dum station. Soon after the train reached the station, on-duty RPF staff immediately swung into action and entered the train. After the hectic search, they found the bag in a coach. Finding no claimant of this bag, they deposited it at the Station Master’s office. After opening of the bag, some valuable items were found therein.
Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the bag to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.
After sometimes, a lady commuter came to the Station Master’s Office and claimed the ownership of the bag. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the bag was handed over to her.
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping her to get back the lost bag and the items containing therein.
